Senior backend Python developer

Telenor Software Lab is looking for a senior backend developer to strengthen the backend team of Min Sky Telenors’ cloud storage solution for images and videos. The service has hundreds of thousands of users, receives several million uploads pr. day, and stores billions of files. We need you to help us do this (and more), even faster and safer. The backend touches most points of the service, and makes for a varied working environment.  

Development is done in Python 3. Our developers use the operating system they are most comfortable with and choose their own hardware. You have root access to your own computer. 

You will be working in an environment of Python, Postgres and Docker. These are technologies that you need to be very comfortable with. 

About you

• You enjoy working with a highly skilled team to create good, testable, and well structured code. 
• You have experience with working on complex projects, and you can make valuable contributions to improve the quality and structure of code written by other developers.

Qualifications wanted for the role

• 3-5 years of relevant education. Experience and skills can compensate for formal education.
• 5+ years of relevant experience. 
• Genuine interest in programming. 
• High level of proficiency using Python, Postgres, Docker, and the *nix command line. 
• Experience with Ansible and Kubernetes is a plus.
